I believe it would have benefited my five-year-old daughter for her counselors at school to have been more knowledgeable about SIDS and how children react both physically and physiologically to the loss of a younger infant sibling. They, like most of the population do not have a clue. (3/6/98)
I think what would have helped me more is counseling! I was 8 years old and I saw my little sister die. Now I am 18 and still having flashbacks of that, especially closer to the date that it happened! Counseling probably would have helped my grieving process!
Just someone saying my brothers name richard would of helped. We were not allowed to mention him and it still destroys me now 25 years later I was 10 when he left I miss him
